Rental Pricing
Renting our pig trapping equipment is by far the most cost effective way to manage feral pig numbers on your property. If you live on site, your pig trapping campaign can take as little a half an hour per day.
A typical trapping campaign would look something like this.
Days 1 to 14, Using one of our rental trail cameras, you would select a suitable location to site the trap, and set up the camera on that site. Feed out pig bait and wait until the pigs begin to feed there. Then feed out every second day until it can be seen in camera images that pigs are relaxed about taking the feed.
Days 14-18, pick up the pig trap and install it on site (this takes 1-2 hours). At this stage the pigs can come and go from the trap at will, and get used to pushing under the mesh. Continue feeding bait daily, and once images show all pigs are going in and out of the trap then the trapping phase can begin.
Days 18-21, the trap is now baited and set. The first night you will likely catch most of the pigs present(10 is our best result, but 6-7 is common). Each morning captured pigs are dispatched, removed and the trap re set. After 3-4 nights the job will usually be complete.
The cost to rent the equipment in the above scenario would be as follows;
Trail camera rental (21 nights) = $221:55
Trap rental (8 nights) = $347.84
Bait (5 sacks) = $135:00
Total = $704.39 excl gst

We recommend for best results that the trap be monitored using a trail camera. Our trail cameras connect to the mobile network and can be configured by us to email you images in near real time to assist in your management of the trap. Rental costs include all network charges, rechargeable batteries,a cable lock and padlock are also included.
